Where you wanna be in 10 years?: Getting my own late-night talk show.
I’m Rome Davis, comedian & podcaster. I started doing comedy back in 2019 & never looked back. I graduated from comedy school at the V.A. beach funny bone. Still, I also continued being a student of the game at the Performer’s Playground, thanks to James Cooper & Marlin Hargrave, who also gave great advice & definitely critiques. Comedy has been an essential part of my life & has helped not just me but a lot of other people. I keep myself intact with the intellectual jokes, with a nice spin to add more flavor. I believe comedy can cure racism & hate across the world. No matter your background, religion, race, etc. We all have one thing in common & that’s laughter. I’ve traveled & performed on stages from V.A. beach to Los Angele, California.
My style of comedy is far from what you usually see. I was influenced by family & famous comedians, such as Michael Colyar & D’MILITANT. I consider myself a smooth jazz-type comedian who holds a conversation where it feels like we are just talking around a card table.
In other words, I can keep it calm without having to do too much. I also have a podcast called No I.D., where I interview black & brown content creators on various topics. My guests include Diallo Riddle, Nore Davis, Michael Colyar & Darryl D’MILITANT Littleton. My goal is to simply either make you think or just make you laugh. Either way, if you’ve seen my content, it’ll be one or the other.
